“O Lucifer! Voluntarily and disdainfully thou didst detach thyself from the heaven where the sun drowned thee in his splendour, to plow with thine own rays the unworked fields of night! Thou shinest when the sun sets, and thy sparkling gaze precedes the daybreak! Thou fallest to rise again; thou tastest of death to understand life better! For the ancient glories of the world, thou art the evening star; for truth renascent, the lovely star of dawn.” – Eliphas Levi: The Key of The Mysteries

“In Freemasonry is concealed a mystery of creation, the answer to the problem of existence, and the Freemason one world path the student must tread in order to join those who are really the living powers behind the thrones of modern national and international affairs.”  ― Manly P. Hall

The Caduceus:  In both the Western and Eastern Mystery traditions the vital energy polarities of the human nervous system are often symbolized by two snakes intertwined. These subtle energy channels are called the Nadi in Sanskrit and Od and Obd in Hebrew. According to Kundalini yoga, the Nadis can be thought of as energetic  channels (not an anatomical structures). They are the plus and minus circuits of our bodies subtle electrical system. These two polarities Ida and Pingala (Od and Obd) intertwine around the spinal column or the Sushumna nadi (the middle pillar in Qabalah). They are symbolized in the western mystery tradition by the Caduceus of Hermes. “the two snakes of which symbolize the kundalini or serpent-fire which is presently to be set in motion along those channels, while the wings typify the power of conscious flight through higher planes which the development of that fire confers”. C. W. Leadbeater, Chakras, Adyar, 1929

“The word Chakra is Sanskrit, and signifies a wheel. It is also used in various subsidiary, derivative and symbolical senses, just as is its English equivalent; as we might speak of the wheel of fate, so does the Buddhist speak of the wheel of life and death; the chakras or force-centres are points of connection at which energy flows from one vehicle or body of a man to another. When quite undeveloped they appear as small circles about two inches in diameter, glowing dully in the ordinary man; but when awakened and vivified they are seen as blazing, coruscating whirlpools, much increased in size, and resembling miniature suns. All these wheels are perpetually rotating, and into the hub or open mouth of each a force from the higher world is always flowing- a manifestation of the life-stream issuing from the Second Aspect of the Solar Logos – which we call the primary force.” – Franz Bardon

What are the Seven Chakras and Churches? Within us there are transformers of energy vital to our psycho-physical well-being. In the East, they are called “chakras” (wheels or vortices), while in the West they are called “churches” or “metals”. These subtle transformers of energy are intimately related with our psyche and our physical well-being. “The seven most important glands of the human organism constitute the seven chakras.  Each one of the seven chakras is found located in intimate correlation with the seven churches of the spinal medulla.  The seven churches of the dorsal spine control the seven chakras of the Grand Sympathetic Nervous System. The seven churches become intensely active with the ascent of the Kundalini along the medullar canal.  The Kundalini dwells in the electrons. The Sages meditate on it; devotees adore it, and in homes where the Perfect Matrimony (Tantra) reigns, it is worked with practically.” – Samael Aun Weor
